DISCRIPTION
One of the most
interesting old Russian traditions was organizing “Salon evenings”, devoted to
discussions of literature, music and art. This tradition is being brought back to life –
now the Salon evenings gather talented people of various professions, giving them an
opportunity to discuss the recent achievements and share their own perspectives in an
informal atmosphere.
Same objectives were pursued in the idea
of creating the Moscow Scientific Salon. In fact, the contribution of Russian science to
the progress of the humanity and technological achievements of the human kind is
tremendous. Thus, the idea of the Moscow Scientific Salon found strong support in our
country and abroad.
The Moscow Scientific Salon meets once a
month. Each Salon evening is devoted to a great achievement that had had a significant
impact on science and technological science and technology.
Arrival of the Salon – authors of famous
works in science, culture, business, sociology and politics – begins at 18:00 with
cocktails. During this time the Guests have an opportunity of informal conversation with
each other. The formal program, consisting of a talk by one of the Guests of the Salon,
takes place from 19:00 to 20:00. After 20:00 the cocktail party continues.
