25th Anniversary of the First International Space Flight
A. Gubarev (Russia), V. Remek (Czech Republic)

         2003 is the year of the 25th Anniversary of the First International Space Flight with crewmembers Aleksey Gubarev (Russia) and the First Astronaut of the Czech Republic Vladimir Remek.
         The celebration Events will take place on February 27, 2003 in Moscow (Russia) and on March 10, 2003 in Brno (Czech Republic). The program of the Anniversary celebration in Moscow is carried under agreement and with the support of the Embassy of Czech Republic in Moscow, Czech Culture Center. The program in Brno is realized together with the Czech Trustee Fund of the Tsyolkovsky Moscow State Aviation Technological Institute with the agreement of the Russian Embassy in Prague.

The program of the Anniversary celebration in Moscow
February 27, 2003

  • Meeting with the crewmembers in the Czech Center.
      • Presentation of pictures by astronaut Aleksey Leonov (Russia) and Martin Mainer (Czech Republic). Subject - "Space Odessey"
      • Presentation of books by astronaut Yuri Glazkov. Subject - "Man and Space"
      • Conference "History and Perspectives of Joint International Space Flights"
  • Astronauts' meeting with students and professors in aerospace science at the Tsyolkovsky MATI
  • Reception at the Embassy of Czech Republic in Moscow.
  • The program of the Anniversary celebration in Brno
