Alexander Yulyevich Ishlinsky
06 August 1913 - 07 February 2003

            Member of the Trustee Board of the International Trus-tee Fund from 1996 to 2003.
            Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Es-tablished and was managing the Institute of Mechanical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a Director from the day of its establishing (1964) to 1990 and, as Hon-orary Director, - to the last days of his life.
            Scientific, scientific-organizational, pedagogical and public work of A.Yu.Ishlinsky was highly rewarded. He was created the Hero of Socialist Labor, Lenin's, National and some other prizes' winner, awarded with many orders and medals.
